Cocktail to-dos

I am not so into the sweet cocktails, and I like my gin. This means that when I want bitter, my go-to order is a Negroni; when I want salty, I get myself a dirty martini. I do make both at home, but that generally results in me falling asleep on the couch by 8:30, so primarily I drink them when I’m out and about.

Conveniently, today I came upon two recipes that take my favorite drinks and add a twist. In the case of the Negroni Flip, the surprise ingredient is a whole egg; for The Improved Dirty Martini (so says the New York Times, but I’ll be the judge), it’s infusing the vermouth with olives, instead of adding olive brine.

I now see that I probably should not have included both those concepts in one paragraph. It’s a little unsavory. But separately, my friends, they should be delicious.
