Companies Drain Women’s Ambition After Only 2 Years

“Some women told us their direct supervisors don’t know their career aspirations, or what to say or do to support them. Others reported feedback like “you’re not cut out for” top management, or “you don’t really want it.””

I’ve been saying I want more leadership roles and management opportunity for, oh, 6 years and haven’t made any progress despite consistent promotions and positive performance reviews. My team has 5 men and 10 women. 3 of the men are managers; 1 woman is. Bleak.
